Face masks are now OPTIONAL when you attend church services or activities at FBC!
The most recent CDC guidelines are that anyone fully vaccinated (two weeks after the second shot) may attend most public gatherings without wearing a mask and those who are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated should continue to wear a mask.
We encourage to choose what is right for you personally and respect each other's choices!
March 10, 2021
Our church leadership has made the decision to continue all of our current COVID-19 policies and practices in place, even with the Texas state mandate changing today.
We will continue to ask you to:
-wear a mask during all church activities
- keep social distancing measures in place
We will also continue to provide 2 Worship services and Live-streamed options.
Please help us keep everyone safe and healthy!

July 8, 2020 Update
- We have made the difficult decisions to cancel both our VBS, which we had postponed earlier this summer, as well as our virtual Youth Camp. These decisions were made for the safety of all involved. While we are disappointed not to host these events this year we are already making plans for Summer 2021 and are looking forward to all God has in store!
June 1, 2020 Update
- In an abundance of caution we have made the difficult decision to cancel Kidz Kamp 2020. We are looking forward to the day that we can restart all of our ministries for our kids. We have already scheduled Kidz Kamp 2021 for July 18-22, 2021. We are hopeful that this will be the best kamp we have ever had as we celebrate 20 years of doing Kidz Kamp at First Baptist Church of Bastrop!
May 29, 2020 Update
- Our office will resume our normal buisness hours starting Monday, June 1. The offices will be open Monday-Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm (closed for lunch 12:30pm-1:30pm).
May 14, 2020 Update
Our church staff is diligently working on a church reopening plan that ensures the safety of all our members and visitors. At this time, the staff have not set a date for reopening. We will continue our live-streamed services ONLY until the day that it is deemed safe to return to our building. We are also working to be able to continue our live-streams when we return so that those that are the most at risk and do not feel comfortable coming to an in-person service can worship from the safety of their homes.
April 22, 2020 Update
- Summer Activities Update: Our youth World Changers trip has been cancelled and VBS has been postponed until further notice.
April 1, 2020 Update
- Our Emergency Food Pantry will remain CLOSED until further notice.
- Effective Monday, April 6, our office will be open on a modified schedule. Monday-Thursday 9:00am-1:00pm
March 20, 2020 Update
- Our weekly sermons will be live streamed on our YouTube channel each Sunday at 10:30am. You can visit our Sermons tab above for a direct link to our channel.
- Bastrop ISD has announced that they will have drive-up meals available for all children under 18 during the school closure. For more information please visit the districts website. This is a great resource for families to use while our food pantry is temporarily closed.
March 19, 2020 Update
- In addition to the above activities we have also cancelled our Spring Ladies Bible Study and will reschedule at a later date.
- We are working to find the best platform available to continue small group Bible studies in a format that can be interactive!
- Our Emergency Food Pantry is currently CLOSED. Our pantry is currently empty and due to the overwhelming demand on our local grocery stores we have been unable to restock it to be able to serve families. We are working diligently to restock it as we know many families are in great need. If you are able to help us restock our pantry we are accepting food and monetary donations.
March 18, 2020
First Baptist Family,
We live in unusual times. Even in Bastrop, we are bound by our own officials. The policy now is a $500 - $1,000 fine for gatherings of 50 people or above; and it is recommended from the CDC that no gatherings be more than 10 people. Therefore:
ALL ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
This includes Sunday School, Sunday Worship, Wednesday night activities, Men's breakfast, Quilting Group, All music ministry activities, all children and youth activities and committee meetings over 10 attendees.
The Church offices will remain open during our regular hours.
(9:00am-4:00pm Monday-Thursday. Closed for lunch 12:30pm-1:30pm.)
